About PuppetART Theater
After-show workshops invite families to make a puppet based on the performance they have just seen. PuppetART is a theater and studio bringing puppetry to locations throughout Detroit and Southeast Michigan. Its programs include family performances, group field trips, productions for adult audiences, guest artist performances, and collaborative projects. The studio also offers school tours, educational programming for schools and scout groups, museum lectures and displays, and workshops for adults and professional performers. Classes cover acting and puppet making, puppet design, and costume and set design. Community residencies give students opportunities to create original puppet productions. The theater's programming also includes chamber music concerts and movie screenings.
