Greater Texoma Utility Authority

Based in Denison, the Greater Texoma Utility Authority is a public authority serving member cities and other local public water or wastewater providers. It assists with financing and construction of water and wastewater facilities, and may provide facility operations services when requested. For projects, the Authority works with the city or public entity and its engineer to complete funding applications and assessments, and supports major construction projects. It also helps public water suppliers pursue financing through the Texas Water Development Board, using its bond rating to seek financing terms that may be more favorable than traditional bank options. The Authority reports holding 125 bonds with the Board, representing more than $290 million in projects.
