Oak Hill Academy

Individualized education is the core offering at this private school for students who learn differently. Oak Hill Academy serves children with autism spectrum disorder, learning differences, speech and language deficits, sensory needs, and developmental delays. Its curriculum is customized for each student and uses a multisensory teaching model for academic, language, and social learning challenges. The whole-child approach also addresses social-emotional learning, executive functioning, sensory and physical development, health, and wellness. Programs prepare students for life after graduation. Learning takes place in a nature-focused setting with a garden, greenhouse, vegetable garden, chicken farm, climbing equipment, paths, and a walking labyrinth. The campus is in Dallas.
