Ohman School of Ballet

Classical ballet instruction is the core offering, with training in proper technique for students of all aspirations. The school teaches ballet in the tradition of George Balanchine, as passed down through Frank Ohman, a former soloist with New York City Ballet. Programs include pre-professional training, master classes and workshops, with guest artists welcomed throughout the year. Injury prevention and mental health classes are also woven into the curriculum. Students have multiple opportunities to perform, including an annual full-production Nutcracker featuring guest artists. Trial classes are available for new students. Ohman School of Ballet is located in Commack and serves Nassau and Suffolk Counties, as well as the greater Long Island and New York area.
