The Walnut Street Gallery

In Columbus's Franklinton Arts District, Walnut Street Atelier is an art school offering classical training for contemporary artists. Its studio-based instruction follows a structured, traditional approach to drawing and painting, with classes open to students at all skill levels. The atelier format draws on a historical tradition of specialized art education. Instruction connects foundational skills with contemporary applications and personal expression. Students learn with Columbus-based artist and instructor Mike Condo and founder and instructor Shannon Vaught, whose teaching backgrounds include classical training and study of drawing, painting, and the human figure. The studio provides art classes focused on building technical discipline while helping students develop their own artistic style.
