Hey Neighbor

Hey Neighbor helps Colorado Springs residents get to know their neighbors through neighborhood gatherings and networks. It supports trust and belonging, and helps people learn how to engage in their communities. The organization also highlights neighborhood activities and brings neighborhood leaders together to share ideas and build connections. Its work centers on six components of vibrant neighborhoods, including connected relationships, neighborhood pride, accessible community spaces, and resilience. Events featured by Hey Neighbor include neighborhood lunches and Porchfest, a September gathering in the Patty Jewett neighborhood with porches serving as stages. The organization encourages neighbors to support, maintain, and shape their communities together. It also shares local stories that show how everyday interactions can foster belonging and neighborliness.
