About Urban Village Church
Worship is offered at 10:30 AM in Hyde Park-Woodlawn, River Forest, and Wicker Park, with a 10:45 AM service in Ravenswood and an online livestream. Urban Village Church is a Chicago church rooted in the gospel of Jesus Christ, with communities welcoming people from different spiritual and religious traditions, including those with no religious experience. Its beliefs center on an inclusive place at the table and connecting the Gospel with everyday life. Sermon podcasts are available, with previous sermons updated each Tuesday. People can connect through one-on-one conversations with a pastor, small groups, volunteering, and service and justice work. The church describes its approach to scripture as "Bible becoming," inviting questions and deeper engagement with biblical stories.
