The Global FoodBanking Network

The Global FoodBanking Network is a nonprofit community service organization. It advances and unites food banks to help nourish people facing hunger around the world. The network supports food banks with resources to operate, expand responsibly, and respond to unexpected challenges. It also connects food bank leaders and provides information and opportunities for them to take part in global food systems discussions. Its research examines food banks' community-building effects, including contributions to health, education, job training, and economic mobility. The network's members work across six continents and more than 50 countries. In 2025, 40.5 million people accessed food through a member food bank, while members prevented 2.03 million metric tons of CO2e. In 2024, member food banks supported 70,606 community organizations.
