Hospitality House
Provides hospitality and community-based housing for families.
Su Casa Catholic Worker provides hospitality and community-based housing rooted in the Catholic Worker tradition. The intentional community welcomes families rebuilding their lives after domestic violence and homelessness, with residences lasting up to one year. Earlier work included temporary residence for Central American refugees coping with trauma from war, torture, and political persecution. Three to six families live in shared community with residential volunteers, while additional volunteers participate in Su Casa's work. The site also includes a community garden developed on former St. Augustine parish grounds. Su Casa Catholic Worker is located in Chicago's Back-of-the-Yards neighborhood.
