Star Farm Chicago

In Chicago's Back of the Yards neighborhood, Star Farm Chicago is a nonprofit urban farm and landscaping service established in 2016. The farm increases access to local organic produce through farmers markets, pop-up retail, delivery, and a local foods co-op. Its year-round CSA provides seasonal fruits and vegetables delivered to customers' doors, with weekly subscriptions accepted throughout the year. Available crops include greens, microgreens, tomatoes, squash, berries, apples, pears, root vegetables, herbs, and other produce that changes with the season. Star Farm also provides local jobs, vocational training, and horticultural therapy for people with disabilities and employment barriers. The organization's work includes empowering women and supporting urban growing and food access in the community.
