Seneca Foundation

Based in Chicago, Seneca Foundation is a community and social services initiative creating pathways into technology careers for Black and Latinx recent high school graduates. Its program begins with nine months of paid software development training covering programming concepts, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, tools, and development processes. Scholars then complete a five-month paid internship with a Seneca Partner Company, gaining real-world work experience while applying their training. College and career coaching is provided through mentors, personal technology tutors, and post-secondary planning. Year-round programming also addresses college preparation, career readiness, and social-emotional development. The foundation accepts partners that hire or sponsor scholars and donations that support economic mobility for underrepresented young talent.
