Ox Bar & Hearth

In Chicago's Lincoln Park, Ox Bar & Hearth is a neighborhood gastropub and restaurant centered around a custom wood-burning hearth. Its menu features seasonal Midwestern ingredients sourced through relationships with farmers, ranchers, producers, and artisans. The open kitchen also uses a charcoal oven and whole-log smoker, bringing live-fire cooking to much of the menu. Guests can dine in or linger in the bar and lounge over seasonal cocktails, a curated wine list, and conversation. The beverage program highlights selections from the Midwest and beyond. Chef John Asbaty leads the kitchen, while the restaurant's setting is designed for friends, family, and neighbors to gather over food and drinks.
