Monticello Community Garden

A community garden in Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood. Monticello Community Garden provides a shared space where neighbors maintain garden plots, exchange gardening practices, and gather for social activities. The garden grows fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers, and berries, with raised beds, a Paw Paw tree, and a raspberry patch. Its produce includes tomatoes, asparagus, peppers, lettuces, kale, okra, carrots, cucumbers, squash, radishes, and spinach. The garden participates in Chicago's NeighborSpace program and offers gardening workdays and other neighborhood events. It also hosts summertime movies and an annual block party. Current improvements include a perennial pollinator garden, stone walkway, and seating area. The garden accepts donations for improvements and regular maintenance.
