About Midwest Aikido Center
A nonprofit aikido dojo in Ravenswood, Chicago. Midwest Aikido Center offers adult classes seven days a week for beginners and experienced martial artists, with morning, evening, and weekend options. Children's Aikido is held Saturdays for ages 8 and up, while Iaido sword arts is available to current members at all levels. Training is cooperative and non-competitive, and no experience is required. Visitors may observe any class without an appointment. The center was established in 1975 and has more than 20 volunteer instructors. New members can register online, and adult registration includes a gi with no contract. The dojo also provides a two-for-one introductory offer for qualifying new adult members and a $75 children's introductory package with a gi included.
