Liska + Associates closed after 46 years of communication design, including work to unify Northwestern Medicine's brand across 15 medical and educational entities. The Chicago firm used a strategic, audience-based approach to branding and communication challenges. Its work included annual reports, training materials, packaging direction and a labeling system for more than 500 Kiehl's products. Liska served clients across industries such as finance, architecture, real estate, healthcare, hospitality and the arts. Founded by Steve Liska in 1980, the firm worked with organizations including The Pritzker Architecture Prize, University of Vermont Health, the Department of State, Motorola and Bloomingdale's. Ongoing design services transitioned to Kristin Smith, who had been part of the team for many years.
