GRO Community

GRO Community provides therapy and mental health support for boys and men ages 5 and up, with a focus on Black and Brown communities and low-income families. Clinicians offer individual and group counseling, trauma-informed treatment, psychiatric care, mentorship, life skills, and school-based social-emotional learning. Additional programs include violence prevention, probationary services, and reentry support for formerly incarcerated men. Services are offered in homes, schools, and neighborhoods, with culturally responsive care and male counselors. GRO accepts some Medicaid plans and offers counseling on a sliding scale. The organization serves Chicago communities affected by trauma and gun violence, using evidence-based treatments to support mental and emotional health.
