Green Beginnings

Green Beginnings provides child care and early development programming for young children in Chicago's West Loop. Founded by educators Katie Darcy and Krissy Ramirez, the program supports social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through everyday experiences, exploration, interaction, and play. Children learn in a safe, intimate, eco-conscious environment that emphasizes health, nature, relationships, and lifelong learning. The program includes early childhood development settings, language development through books and conversations, and education about healthier ways of living. Green Beginnings also provides organic and locally grown foods, along with eco-conscious products, while working with families to build a strong foundation for each child's growth.
