About Emanuel Congregation
Friday evening worship is held in the sanctuary and streamed online, with Shabbat services at 6:30 p.m. On the second Friday of each month, Share Shabbat pairs a community dinner with the service. The congregation also offers classes led by Rabbi Sabath, including study of Jewish questions and discussion of Israel and its society. Classes may include in-person and online participation. Emanuel Congregation serves as a spiritual and communal home for the Jewish community in Edgewater, Chicago. Its offerings center on worship, Shabbat, and learning, with opportunities to gather for services and take part in classes.
