About Chinese Fine Arts Society
For over 35 years, the Music Festival in Honor of Confucius has invited young musicians to explore Chinese music. The Chinese Fine Arts Society presents programs celebrating traditional and contemporary Chinese arts, including stage performances and visual art exhibitions. Its educational programming includes festival performances, competitions, and mentorship for students from across the Midwest. The society also collaborates with institutions on multidisciplinary events at public venues and cultural programs at schools, libraries, nursing homes, and other locations. CFAS artists are available for event engagements, featuring Chinese instrumentalists, dance ensembles, martial artists, lion dancers, and young musicians. These engagements take place at venues throughout Illinois. An Artist in Residence program supports the production of a selected artist's work for one season.
