Catherine Cook School

Preschool through 8th grade education is offered at Catherine Cook School in Chicago. The private school serves children beginning at age 3 through eighth grade, with learning centered on curiosity, inquiry, critical thinking, and student leadership. Faculty guide individual and group exploration while supporting students' mental, physical, social, and emotional development. Academic experiences include research projects, literacy activities, interdisciplinary events, music, art, athletics, and public presentations. Cougar Buddies connects students across grade levels for collaborative, inquiry-based learning, while All-School Assemblies give students opportunities to share their work with the school community. The school also holds a History Fair for seventh and eighth grade students, whose projects may advance to regional, state, and national competitions.
