About Teen Equip
Church members gather for vibrant worship and sermons centered on the gospel, with ministries that support discipleship and local and global outreach. The congregation describes itself as a multi-generational, multi-ethnic community focused on following Jesus and biblical teaching. It is evangelical Protestant, Baptist in distinctives, and non-denominational in affiliation. The church also plants churches and regularly starts new ministries. Its history began in 2008, when a group of 36 people relaunched Laurel Baptist Church as a new congregation. Today, more than 300 members take part in weekly ministries. Teen Equip is associated with Laurel Baptist Church in Charlotte, whose ministry serves the city and metropolitan area.
