Seasonal CSAs
Offers two CSA seasons, with SNAP accepted.
Small City Farm grows vegetables on three acres on Charlotte's West Side. Visitors can shop at its Saturday Farm Stand, open May through December, or sign up for one of two CSA seasons. The farm also wholesales its products through the Freshlist food hub, which supplies restaurants and retail customers. SNAP is accepted at the farmstand and for CSAs. It keeps about 40 chickens and has eleven beehives maintained by Bizzy Bee owner Jesse. The farm began growing and selling vegetables from a home in Charlotte's Cotswold neighborhood in 2007, then moved to its current property in 2010. Its specialty is urban vegetable farming in Charlotte, where it is one of the city's bona fide farms.
