Charlotte CROP Hunger Walk

A community and social services organization focused on hunger and poverty. Its annual fall walk brings Charlotte residents together to raise awareness and funds for local and international relief. The event includes a neighborhood walking route, with shorter and longer route options described for 2026, along with a brief program and pre-walk activities. Since 1979, the Charlotte walk has raised more than $10 million, with over $2.5 million staying in the community. Local support helps Crisis Assistance Ministry, Nourish Up, and Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina provide relief to people in need. The walk also supports Church World Service grassroots poverty-fighting efforts and disaster response in more than 40 countries, including the United States. Participants can register to walk, donate, or order a shirt.
