About Polyarch Architecture and Design
Founded in Brooklyn in 2016, Polyarch Architecture and Design is a multifaceted architecture studio now based in Johnson City, Tennessee, with a satellite office in Mount Tremper, New York. The studio works across northern and southern Appalachia on residential, commercial, and community projects. Services include schematic design, construction documents, permitting, construction administration, and sustainable and high-performance design. Polyarch also offers historic preservation and restoration, interior design, site planning, master planning, and furniture and fabrication design. Its work includes renovation, adaptive reuse, restoration, and new construction, with projects such as historic townhouses, multifamily housing, community centers, restaurants, and gallery spaces. The practice considers how new work relates to existing sites and structures, and includes low-carbon building design.
