About KoKo NYC
KoKo NYC is an arts education program for children in Brooklyn. It offers workshops where kids create and explore using real tools, recycled materials, found objects, and repurposed materials. Activities encourage playful experimentation, problem solving, and connections between art and science. Programs include after-school workshops, school break day workshops, and "Try It" days at the KoKo Lot. Teaching Artists support children as they develop projects, with appropriate safety and supervision for working with tools and construction materials. Workshops are designed for children of different ages, backgrounds, and learning abilities. KoKo NYC is the educational program of Open Source Gallery, a nonprofit arts organization based in Brooklyn.
