About Freebird Books & Goods
A bookstore in Brooklyn. Freebird Books & Goods sells books and organizes book bundles benefiting NYC Books Through Bars, which provides reading material to incarcerated people. Bundle selections have included LGBTQ-related titles, World Almanacs, and art instruction books. Purchases fund copies that Books Through Bars sends to readers in prisons nationwide. The shop also offers books for individual purchase through its Bookshop.org shop. Its featured selections span fiction, memoir, humor, history, and other subjects. Some bundles are sold in groups of three copies, with titles chosen to meet Books Through Bars' requests. Freebird also promotes book drives around specific titles and themes, helping supply requested reading material through the organization.
