About Coffey Street Studio
Coffey Street Studio is an artistic studio for multidisciplinary performance and visual art. It was co-founded in 2016 by theatrical designer Andromache Chalfant and photographer and filmmaker M. Sharkey. The studio explores how constructed spaces can shape performance and visual work, serving as a laboratory for artistic experiments. Its founders bring experience in theater, opera, photography, film, and writing. Sharkey has made professional portraits internationally for more than 20 years, and his documentary photography has been exhibited and published. Chalfant works as a visual artist and set designer for theater and opera. The studio is located in a 19th-century warehouse in Red Hook, Brooklyn, one block from Valentino Pier. Space rental inquiries are invited.
