Skinner's Pub opened on October 7, 1996, after restoration of the New Century Building in downtown Brookings. The building dates to 1901 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Inside, original hardwood floors, pressed-tin ceilings, antique fixtures, and an antique bar shape the setting. The pub offers a wide and varied beer selection, along with top-shelf drinks such as a Chocolate-Raspberry Martini, a fresh-squeezed Long Island Iced Tea, and a Bloody Mary. Guests can play pool or darts, meet for conversation, or catch live music. An 1,800-square-foot courtyard opened in 1999, adding an outdoor gathering space to the pub.
