Outdoor theater
Productions take place in a natural forest amphitheater.
An outdoor community theater near Bremerton. Kitsap Forest Theater presents plays and musicals in a natural amphitheater nestled in a 460-acre Rhododendron Preserve. Audiences reach the venue along a forested trail and sit in terraced seating beneath giant fir trees. The Mountaineers Players have performed here since 1923, with three productions planned for the 2027 season: Fiddler on the Roof, Finding Neverland, and Into the Woods. The organization also offers summer day camps for children and a family Salmon Safari each November. Visitors can attend performances, participate as actors, or volunteer behind the scenes. The theater welcomes all ages and invites people to picnic before shows.
