Ramey's Meats

Custom-cut steaks are vacuum sealed at Ramey's Meats for freshness. The family-owned Brawley butcher shop carries USDA Choice and Prime meats, including Brandt Beef, described as corn fed for more than 365 days without antibiotics or hormones. Customers can choose from a range of meat cuts and order steaks cut to their specifications. Beef carne asada seasoned with the shop's own marinade became a best seller, alongside chicken asada, tri-tip, New York and ribeye steaks, and bratwurst. The business traces its roots to 1948, when Darrell Ramey began working at Harris Frozen Food in Brawley; he purchased the business in 1973 and renamed it Ramey's Meat. Its earlier work included custom processing for customers who raised their own beef.
