About PAWS (Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society)
Spay/neuter procedures and veterinary care are available for pets through PAWS wellness clinics. The clinics provide preventative care and treatment for illnesses and injuries, along with spay/neuter surgery. Services are open to pet owners, rescue organizations, and community cat caretakers, with visits by appointment. PAWS also adopts out cats, dogs, and small animals; adopted pets are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccines and microchips, and are examined by a veterinarian. Its two wellness clinics serve Grays Ferry and Northeast Philadelphia. The organization also offers foster care and rescue as part of its work to prevent pet homelessness.
