Surprise & Delight Studios

Event planning and experience design for gatherings ranging from first dates and team trainings to global summits, retreats, reunions, memorials, and surprise parties. Surprise & Delight Studios uses a human-centered, design-thinking process to identify needs, build authentic connections, and reimagine events through unexpected experiences. Its work serves corporate leaders, higher-education administrators, conference organizers, event planners, and individuals. The process includes defining the problem, starting with empathy, facilitating vulnerability, creating a surprise, reimagining the gathering, and reflecting on feedback. Led by facilitator Kristie Dickinson, the studio designs experiences for work, education, community, and personal life in Boston.
