Community Music Center of Boston

Music instruction is available through the Community Music School for learners of all ages and musical genres, with programs supporting skill-building and leadership development. Community Engagement Programs bring music classes and music therapy to schools, clinics, and community centers across Boston and beyond. CMCB also provides board-certified music therapy for participants of all ages, using musical instruction to address non-musical goals. Its Youth Employment Program offers paid work, job training, college and career readiness, and mentorship. Founded in 1910, this arts education nonprofit serves students from preschool age through seniors and supports music education across Boston Public Schools. Its programs operate throughout Boston neighborhoods, with community-based offerings extending beyond the city.
