Youth Mentoring
Mentoring initiatives teach character and practical life skills.
Since 2001, the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation has honored coach and mentor Cal Ripken, Sr. by creating opportunities for at-risk youth. Its three focus areas are Youth Mentoring Initiatives, Youth Development Parks, and the STEM Center Initiative. Youth Development Parks create places to play and renew community pride, while STEM Centers offer hands-on exposure to science, technology, engineering, and math. The Foundation works with schools, youth-serving partners, law enforcement agencies, coaches, teachers, volunteers, and other mentors.
