About Calvary Chapel Bakersfield
A home Bible study launched Calvary Chapel Bakersfield in 1977. Today, this church gathers for Sunday services at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m., with children's Sunday School available during the later service, and Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. Its ministries include Bible teaching, Connect Groups, and other small groups where people can grow and serve together. The church is part of the Calvary Chapel Association and describes its mission as sharing the Word of God and leading people to become devoted followers of Christ. It also reports supporting missionaries and partnering with organizations and individuals to serve people in crisis. The congregation has been involved in planting new works in Bakersfield and other communities.
