About The Comfort Crew for Military Kids
Four specialized Comfort Kits address challenges and transitions in military family life. Designed for school-age children, the kits support children during a parent's deployment, after a period of separation, when a parent returns with visible or invisible injuries, or after the loss of a family member. The Comfort Crew for Military Kids also offers a Comfort Kit Resiliency Program, the WYATW! Tour, and Comfort Crew Academy. Its work focuses on strengthening military families by supporting children through these experiences. The organization reports serving one million military kids, delivering 450,000 Comfort Kits, and giving 1,500 tour presentations. It is based in Austin.
