Heilmann Regional Park

An off-leash dog park provides space for dogs to run and socialize. It has two double-gated entries, a designated area for smaller dogs weighing 25 pounds or less, and features including shade, water, picnic tables, a patio, a doggie spa and an information kiosk. The smaller-dog section is also intended for dogs that may be uncomfortable in the larger area, including puppies and elderly or less active dogs. Heilmann Dog Park opened in 2005 on a two-thirds-acre section of Heilmann Park. The park is volunteer-run and maintained, with community grants and donations supporting its upkeep and improvements. It is located in Atascadero, California.
