About Kutz 4 Kidz
An Albuquerque community charity project, Kutz 4 Kidz organizes a back-to-school event for children and families. The event provides free haircuts, backpacks, school supplies, and medical exams for children in the community. It is designed to help children return to school with supplies and a haircut, with the goal of serving up to 8,000 children. The project also seeks title sponsors, media partners, product donations, and volunteer groups to support the event. Donations of school supplies such as pencils, notebooks, binders, folders, and crayons are requested. Kutz 4 Kidz is a DreamBig event, and DreamBig is a 501(c)(3) organization. The website describes the event's origins as a community effort that grew through participation from local businesses and volunteers.
