About Desert Rat Off-Road Centers
Desert Rat Off-Road Centers is an Albuquerque automotive customization business focused on 4x4 and off-road products. It offers tires, forged wheels, rock crawler wheels, tire repair kits, tire deflators, throttle response controllers, and compact driving lights through its product store. The business also sells off-road trail books and supports vehicle selection for shoppers. Desert Rat began in 1975, when Mike Furrier expanded beyond his family's tire business and brought in 4x4 products from Dick Cepek. It started in a showroom at a Jack Furrier Tire and Auto location in Tucson before moving to larger facilities for its mail-order business.
